I would recommend this place as an experience and fun time to both newbies to the escape room franchise as well as the veterans. The whole outlay of the place contributed to the ambience and a very clever way of fitting a cool game place like this in the center of a tourist packed part of town. This was a very fun experience and Eric was a very good game master that was very sympathetic and pedagogical. Eric then handed us each a flashlight and asked if we were ok and that he would see and be able to communicate with us the whole time, and then shut the door and left us in utter darkness! The game had begun! The room/cave was separated in half by a wooden partition that we had to go on either side of, one person per side. A 1,5x1,5m (2-3sqm) room opened up to us, this would be “the cell”! At this point Eric asked us if any of us had claustrophobia. Eric opened the door and showed us our room. We finally were led to our room which coincidentally happened to be back out through the low arch and halfway up the stairs where a room had been carved into the mountain covered by a robust door. Our game master was “Eric” who before introducing us to our rooms went over some general dos and don’t and covering the concept of the escape room. There are hooks to hang jackets and such but unfortunately no lockers so all valuables must be carried to the room. You have now arrived at the front desk where there are a small selection of drinks, board games and some knickknacks to find. At the base you hunch over to get through the entrance arch to not hit your head in the rock ceiling. You are then ushered down to the front desk, which happens to be underground where you get through winding stairs. You are let in by one of the staff upon calling them on the designated number from your phone. Located in central area of “Gamla Stan” it is easy to find and reach with just a few minutes of walking if you are anywhere on that island. Discretion regarding other rooms is advised. This is only a review of the one room we did called “the cell”.
